Full disclosure: this was my first New Years Eve wedding. When I got an email from Ashley and Graham Scobey asking if I was available to help them photograph their amazing couple Morgan and David I'm pretty sure I about fell out of my seat. It doesn't matter how prestigious someone's name or work is, there will always be someone they admire and look up to that they would love to work with. The Scobeys are some of those people for me. Thankfully, I had just enough pride left over to reply to that amazing email.
This couple was so sweet and determined (I mean how many couples would do a first look on the jersey shore on New Years eve??) and their guests were a riot! Guests of every age were on the dance floor as soon as the music started, even before the bride and groom made their grand entrance. I've never seen such a variety of guests having so much fun at a wedding before. You could just tell that Morgan and David attract the most fun people. This day and night weren't just a big party to these two and honestly that made me love this wedding even more. They thought about everything from incorporating family members singing into their ceremony (alongside some seriously awesome confetti cannons), religion and prayer into their reception, included the lovebirds' new years resolutions as table numbers, and even Grandma's favorite chocolate drink for everyone to celebrate with.
This wedding was as much about celebrating the importance of a new year and surrounding yourself with friends and family as it was having a good time. I hope you enjoy this wedding!
